| We all talked about how much it may effect our fishing as the season was ramping up. I just got my statement for the card I use for gas for the first month of the season before I really start getting on the road and it was $859! Yikes I fear what next month will bring to the mailbox. How much was yours? | |||

Posts: 158 Location: Burlington, WI | Last months credit card, which only had gas charges on it was $377 and some change. Only because I basically stopped fishing and I am now mostly driving a '92 S-10 that has more rust on it than paint, but gets better gas mileage than my Dodge Ram. I hate gas!

| I spent over $1,000 in May, another $1,000 in June, another $1,000 in July.... Just a little over $3,000 in gas the past three months. | |||

Location: Twin Cities | This is probably the only time i'll be glad to only have a 35hp engine. Fished 4 days per week since MN opener, total gas bill is under $100. (for the boat only)

Posts: 1663 Location: Kodiak, AK | Are you guys trolling? I think I've spent less than $400 this month, and that's with a 200 Yamaha. My day consists of running the big motor for maybe 10-15 minutes, getting on scene and casting for three hours, then maybe moving again another 10 minutes or so. I've had this boat for a little over a month now, and I've probably put two hours at the most on the motor.

Posts: 191 | $1120 for a trip from sunday to sunday on LOTW. 8 fillup for my truck + one for my boat at a normal gas station. Then 3 fillup on the water @ 5.90 a gallon. ouch The funny thing is I only spent 160 bucks between beer food and lodging. Next year I'm going to invent a bettery powered boat that will do 35mph Its only money I will just have to make more......

Posts: 97 | ESOX Maniac- If it makes you feel better about your gas bill, your beer was $20.00/gallon.

Posts: 191 | If you cross the border in baudete instead of international falls the duty free has a great deal. if you buy 5 caes of beer you get them at 12.00 bucks a case. you still pay a reduced border charge i think it was like 4 dollars per case but you can get as much as you want.

Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Does it matter,?? Arn't we talking about Muskie Fishing...... What else is there?? Seriously, I'm a Contractor and have 3 jobs going on right now and I'm spending about $1400.00 a day on fuel for fork lifts, air compressors, bobcats, ect. To me Muskie fishing is the Great Equilizer in life, so who cares what fuel costs in order to experence the joy and peacefulness that it brings. Jerome

Posts: 20265 Location: oswego, il | I sure am glad nobody drinks as much beer as they burn in gas. Same with printer ink, bottled water, blah, blah, blah. Last year I had some gas bill that reached 750. I have not fished as much this year and i have not seen this months bill which will still be up there.
