For those of you that missed it, we had the 40th Anniversary of the Frank Schnider MI Tournament this weekend. While the weather wasn't the best, the fish were biting. I don't have all the stat's available to me right now (we'll have the official standings posted soon) but roughly 95 fish were caught with the biggest being a 51"er on Leech.

One of the coolest things in the tournament is that the 2nd largest fish was caught by a 12 year old girl on a topwater. She was grinning from ear-to-ear to say the least.

If you haven't fished this event before you really owe it to yourselves to give it a try next year. We're going to try to make some tweaks to make it even easier to attend and more enjoyable for everyone next year.

I've included some pics from our cabin this year. Sorry Blowfish, but I HAD to share this with the world

The interior design was what happens when Baldy left his 100 plano boxes in the cabin when we traded fishing for drinking games during the rain on Sat.

Looks like a tough event, I don't think that one released to easy. I heard it took over 24 hour to revive that little boy. Sounds like another great event, congrats to the 12 year old girl with a big fish. For those that haven't attended a great event, fun time, and this generates the $$$ for stocking the future fish of MN.

I fished it also. Was very fun. 27 hours of fishing. My back and arms are very sore. We stayed at Little Boy lake campground and fished Little boy and Wabedo. Had a few follows, but caught nothing. Met a few nice people. Looking forward to next year.

That seems to be a familiar pose for you Mikey!! The mustard and half eaten sandwich is a nice touch. I bet it took a few minutes to revive him! How come his shirt and jeans are wet?!?!

Are the results posted anywhere for this tourney yet? We were staying up at Little Boy for the weekend and I was just curious.

actually the pic dosent do it justice,,,Blowfish I mean not the 51'

theres actually video of mike squirming and rolling on the floor,,I had a hawgwobbler once that had action like this and I traded it for a discount at the first swapmeet.

I was in the cabin next store and when I saw mike the next day and the leftover condition, Has VP OF THE tc Chapter I imediately forwarded the motion we now call this the Frank Schneider AND Mike Mcgrath "memorial" tournament

I was the cabin enteratainment Thursday night. Drank a bottle of Jamison in a few hours and that's all I remember. Yup flash backs to LOTW. And yup I was foobared all day Friday. Actually I think I was still drunk Friday evening.

Stats - justing waiting for the standings to be forwarded to me so I can update the site.

Here is what I recall. Dobber Scott had the big fish(51), the 12 year old girl, Kristina Smith cleaned house with the biggest fish for a female (50.5) took first in the juniors. She walked away with a week at Ver. Dam I beleive, Abu Reel, I think a diamondback, Beckman net, plano tackle box, $500 in cash (Mary Villnow Award) and commerative Phantom. Oh and she out fished her older brother who took 3rd in the juniors.

95 fish caugh, Leech-36, Cass-22, Big 21.

Anyway I do not have the standings tonight but I should have them Wednesday night. Should have more pictures took, the one wit Kristina and her fish very cool. Sucker is bigger then she is.

Doug Ackley took home the Triton 202 and trailer with a 115 Suzuki .

Here is the leader board picture, best I can do tonight and Doug Ackley with his son and the Triton rep Harlen Husky (spelling?).

Haha...the first picture is what happens when you drink with me and the bald man!

Maybe Baldy can put up the "Big Game Hunter" picture we took right after Mike finally passed out?

Mike is the man...I will fish that tourney every year as long as one night he downs a bottle of whiskey.

You don't want to know.

The only reason I was still standing is that I've been on enough "fishing" trips with the Musky Nut to know how to survive a night like that.
