Location: Madison, WI | Hi guys,
Question for all of you... This may not be musky related per se, but I am looking for some information on the Catherine Wolter Wilderness area in Presque Isle, WI.
Has anybody ever been there? Can you go fishing there, or bring a canoe? Are there hiking trails? What are the main attractions? I've heard that it's a good place to check out, but I don't really know what the activities are there, or what the fishing opportunities are (if any).
Any advice / information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Location: Wakefield, MI | Never heard of it, weird because I head over that way a lot (most of my musky fishing is just across the border in Michigan). Appears to go by another name, Border Lakes State Natural Area, if that helps at all in your research.
WI DNR website says something about some lakes being prohibited for fishing. I didn't much further into it than that, but if you want to get into some great fishing in a similar area that i can get you info on, check out Sylvania Wilderness Area in MI. |
