Subject: Larger Hooks

Hi

Just wondering if I put larger hooks ex: 7/0 on a 10" Jake will the hooks hang too low from the body to get a good hook set. I know the hooks swing when the bait is working but I went to larger hooks for better a better hook up but looking at the bait they look a little too low, maybe a short shank 7/0 hook?

Thank You
Sledge

Hooks really change the way baits work. Take one hook out and make too bigger and you have a whole new lure. Down size and the bait might troll faster.....many veribles.

Try it, then try it with another size or shank until you get your customized presentation.

And...Welcome to the site, its a great place to shorten the learning curve![:)]
