I have always stored my rods indoors, vertically, supported at the handle. I think some old timer told me that was the best way to avoid having the rod warp or take a set ove winter. I acquired a St. Croix Big Nasty and a top-n-tail this year and have exceeded the celing height in my storage area. The only place in the house is in the living room with a cathedral ceing, but my wife doesn't appreciate the decorative appeal of the Legend Tournament series.
How do you store your long rods over the winter months.

I store them horizontal in my rod case in the basement.
