anyone who has done this. have you used a rubber gasket material between the track and/or backing plate??

anybody got a monkey they could lend me that could hold the nut while i try to get the threads started???

Helped a friend mount his and we used plastic washers along with the metal washers. If you used rubber gasket material it should be harder as softer stuff would squish out and not stay tight, speaking as a former mechanic (meaning tried it ). Can't help with the monkey but an extra elbow helps or dislocating your shoulder .
