Hi guys,

i was wondering if you could use a non levelwind reel on all lures or is it only good for blades? If not any good reels with levelwinds i could pick up for not too much money?

I have a Saltist 20hs and it is conventional. I love throwing blades and cranks with it but any type of lures that require jerks or pulls its a headache. Bull dawgs always seem to create uneven line spooling and eventually nasty backlashes. It gets irritating constantly trying to keep an eye out on your reel to see if the line is spooling even. Not a problem for blades so I gues it's a single purpose reel for me.
