Hey John,

I run 30lb Berkley XT on my trolling rods and 30 feet of line will get a baby depth raider down 6 feet at 3.3 mph. You will get a 7" Slammer down 6 feet with 40 feet of line out at 3.3 mph.

You can always experiment with in-line wieghts to achieve deeper curves with less line out.

An easy way to get a pulse on your dive curves (I do this all the time due to different speeds) is to find a flat that you can run the same depth for awhile and start letting line out 10 feet at a time until you start tickin the bottom...then you will know without a doubt how deep you are getting your lures.

I think the curves are about the same when comparing between 30lb mono and 80lb super braid.

Good luck!!!!

Dennis
