Subject: Lowrance HDS

Anyone have any idea why this unit will sometimes read my navionics chip then suddenly not on the same body of water. Is it something I'm doing wrong or do I need to send it in. It has all the current updates as well. Thanks Don

I would double check to make sure you have the current upgrades. That is exactly how the HDS Unit will act without the current upgrade with a navionics chip.

If you are certain the upgrade is in place then it would likely be a defective chip.
