I've got a couple of these reels I use mainly for sucker fishing. When I got them the spool brake was nice and tight and now even the smallest suckers seem to peel line out with ease. It won't tighten down anymore. Anybody else have this problem? Any solutions?

Instead of leaving you spool open, close your bail and loosen your drag so it's loose, and turn your clicker on as normally you would. I do this with large suckers when they provide too many false alarms, and it works well. Just remember to re-tighten your drag before setting the hook!
