Location: minocqua, wi.
my favorite bassin' waters are the minocqua chain (tom for smallies, kawaguesaga for largemouth), trout (ginormous smallies) and katherine (great smallie action water). all of these lakes have populations of fishable muskies as well with a good shot at big fish to boot.

otherwise, the river flowages of the flambeau over by park falls is a great smallie choice with a chance at some great "action" musky fishing and the boom flowage in rhinelander is also a great choice.

the bass fishing up here is so under-rated it's hard to believe sometimes for quality and quantity. some of the best fishing that gets so little credit or respect for its quality as compared to the rest of the country.
