I have two. Both were ebay treasures bought for about 30% of retail. They were
both glow in the dark colors, which I personnally hate, so I painted one black with
Krylon for plastics. They look really good in the water with a lot of shimmy and rattle. I haven't noticed them to have the clack-clack sound some of the other
baits of this type have, though of only heard the others on video, not in real life.
Hodags tend to rattle and chatter their way back. You can also reel them pretty fast, which is something I've heard you can't do with the others quite as much.
As far as fish catching action I can't say. These Kentucky river muskies seem
to have a real aversion to hitting on top for some reason. They don't seem to be
willing to come after anything, unless it belongs to some poor unsuspecting bass
fisherman. But they out number musky fisherman 50 to 1 which puts the odds in
their favor. Unfortunately, it usually ends in a lost lure due to no leader.
