hey guys, was going to help with the Big brothers outing yesterday but my motor didn't want to run under a load right away without running on half choke.

finally would run under full throttle and move right along. first time all year i was on a lake with no speed limit. question is, do 2 strokes carbon up like grandma's carb if you don't run them full out? still have last years plugs in it and haven't run sea foam through it like last year. not real mechanic when it comes to outboards. thanks for the help

Your fuel filter may be clogged. You may look into having that changed first. But also check your plugs, that's an easy check.
