Location: Medford, WI | Hey guys, just looking for any bit of advice or reports for this area. I'm going up with a buddy who's only been out once before, and I'd really like to put him on a nice fish or two. I've fished the Pike/Round Chain quite a bit, but mostly in the summer not really in the fall at all. We're staying on Solberg as his family has a cabin on it, but I'm not sure if we'll be fishing there or not as I don't know the lake at all. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Also wondering if turnover is going on at all on any lakes up there or not yet.

Location: Hayward, WI | I would definatly fish Solberg, I may be wrong but do not think that it really has a turnover since it is fairly shallow. I would look for still green weeds and I think you will find some nice fish. If not in the weeds look around rocks, usually you will find them in one of those two locations. One other thing to give a try would be to fish the inlets, if the water is still flowing pretty good they could hold fish also. |
