I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a float trip on the Wisconsin River that would be good for my drift boat. Maybe somewhere around Merrill or Wausau. I live up by the Flambeau but the water is getting really low for most stretches in my drift boat to get through the rapids. Usually about a 5 mile float is good as I just row. Wasnt sure where to put in or take out as I havent fished there before. I usually like flyfishing for muskies with a friend of mine. One guy rows and the other guy fishes then we take turns doing that. I heard of some nice muskies in there also which is another reason I would like to try there. Got a couple over the past few years around 20 pounds being the largest on the fly rod but never got anything bigger than that.
Thanks,
Steve
