I used my new X67C that uses the Motor Guide Wireless built in transducer this past weekend, and the unit registers 865 feet in about 21 feet of water. I'm sure I have the correct wiring and the trolling motor is vertical. Any suggestions as to where the problem is would be appreciated.

Thanks, Clark

Do you have other units turned on at your console? That interference can be causing your front unit to be doing that. Then also, are you turning the unit off when you stow the motor? Lot of times you need to turn the unit off when stowing the trolling motor and turning on when deploying it again. Lot of times it can't re-read depth until it's been restarted. I would try those things first, this is a pretty common thing.
