Started acting up after a day in the rain -- every few turns the handle would spin backwards. Anti reverse just wasn't working right.

So I took it apart, looked it over, drop of oil here and there, tried it again. Worked great for exactly one day. So I retired it. Last thing I needed was to set the hook on a fish and have no anti reverse.

stupid $#&$^*@ reel. Figures it would be the most expensive one I had, and the newest one, only 13 days out of warranty...

then I read the posts here from others with the same reel and the same problem... Someone suggested that the anti reverse might just have too much grease.

So last night I took it apart again, cleaned all the grease out of the AR mechanism and used oil instead.

IT WORKS!!

It works like it did when it was new! Now I don't know what will happen the first time I fish in a downpour, or how long it will work, but the handle does NOT turn backwards anymore.

That's usually the first thing to check when an anti-reverse goes 'bad' on any reel. Glad it worked for you!
