Is the Fig Rig Carbon Classic the rods guys have been talkin about breaking so often or is it another fig rig rod? Was lookin at the 8ft carbon classic for bucktails and was just wondering. thanks!

The 8' Carbon Classic isn't the rod that has the blank issue that's been posted on the message boards. There is a posibility that it may have an inferior cork handle though. We had a secondary builder make some of these rods for us and they had inserts put in the handles. Subsequently, the handles were breaking. The majority of these have been dealt with on a dealer level. If you question the one you are buying, I suggest you twist the butt of the handle before you purchase the rod. You shouldn't have any problems though.
