| I have read many postings by Steve Worral and others concerning fishing cold fronts in small rivers.
A cold front affects all bodies of water, when you take into consideration the barometric pressure change.
Why do you feel your odds are better?
Do you feel its is easier to target a specific area ,do to smaller structure?
Do you beleive it affects all fish in major bodies of water?
Those sticking to their guns on big water, let us in on what is the most productive presentation on these situations.
I would like to see as many peoples point of view on this one as possible.
Dick p,Doug J,Chuck A,I am interested in knowing your thoughts.Dick I know that these days are sandwich days but you must try and hurt your self sometimes.[]

| Hi Marc, I am one who believes that All eco-systems and fish are effected by cold fronts, and I don't believe that the temp. change has as much effect as the barometric presure change does on both! My thought on this is that both are effected but some more than others. For example on fish, I think Bass are most effected than say walleyes or muskie, Now I didn't say walleyes and muskies were not effected, just not as bad. Same with lakes, I think the least effected by a front or a presure change is a river system, why I believe this I have no scientific proof of, All I know is if a front hits I can fish different eco-systems and the river system seems to be my best producer, Maybe it's because of the current or the size. my next pick would be large dark water in summer or fall and small dark water in spring and early summer, something that will try and stay as stable with least amount of change to the water temp. There's very little you can do about the presure change, so I try to find the most stable system when it comes to temp. without including turn-over big deep darker water reacts best I.M.H.O. than big deep clear lakes in the summer-early fall times. The advice I give the most in this situation is dark water and depending on the severity of the front down-size and slow-down you bait presentation! Hope this answers your question my friend.
