Hi All, First Off the folks at Sabaskong Bay Lodge wish to extend thier Deepest Sympathies to the people of New Orleans and the United States and hope for a speedy recovery to the region affected by the Storm

On to the Trip Results - The weather was very unsettled cold front after cold front on one day the wind switched directions at least 4 times and on Thursday the wind was really howling at 25 - 35 mph which made it tough for the guys who did go out, Friday night Mother Nature made it up to us by providing a Spectacular Aurora Display in all the times I have been up north I have never seen such a bright and lengthy display.

Somewhat of a dissapointing turn out for this years outing only 7 of us total but as a group we did manage to catch 22 Muskies up to 49 inches and saw some real pigs, It seems that the fish are starting to get into a fall pattern as there were many Fat Northerns Caught as well up to 39 inches in what most would consider prime Muskie spots.

Matt ( The Dude ) had a 48 incher try to eat a 30 inch Northern at boat side ( Are our Baits too Small ? ) I'll let Matt tell you the Story

I Caught two fish ( 38 & 36 Inchers ) only 5 casts apart on what is known as Mausers Bay, that is the Bay on the South Side of the Resort right in front of the Cabins with all the reeds, are these fish some of Mausers Releases ???

Any way in addition to the many northern caught here are the Muskie results

Esox Laser, 30, 32, 35, 48
Dude, 35, 42
Jonesi, 35,49,40,42.75, 47
Jessie-WI, 37
Eric Baker, 36.5, 44.5, 34
Rldourlain, 25, 34,36
JohnMD, 25, 36,38,38

John, I'm real disappointed you didn't get 'big fish' this time, but just tickled pink that you got to go after missing a year. I'm glad Mauser's Rock produced for you, we fished it hard last year and didn't see much - I think they were scared! Congrats on a great trip, hope to see you up there in the years following. m
