I just added a Minn Kota trolling motor with the co pilot attachment and was wondering what the best way is to handle the remote? do you attach it to your rod, keep it on your belt, or use a lanyard?
Thanks,

Steve

I attach it to the rod when I'm tossing something easy like a bucktail. It is too hard to use on the rod when working a jerkbait. Another thing to do is go and buy yourself some velcro. Take and place a square of velcro on the back of the remote. Then you can take and put various velcro around the boat. I have a place on the dash, on my pedestal chair, then under the counsil so I don't lose the #*^@ thing! I always used to put it in the pocket, on the floor & forget about it. Then I would lean over and kick the thing on. Not good.
