I want to make this casting deck big enough to hold 2 or 3 people and its 5.3 feet Wide X 4.6 feet long right now. I was thinking about making it twice that size. So my plans on were to buy a peice of plywood that big and just extend it, and support it with 2X4's underneath it. Do you guys think this is a good idea or do you have a better? Another thing is do you have an estimate around what that peice of plywood cost WIDTH 5.3 feet X LENGTH 4.6 feet.(WOULD it have to be marine plywood or would I just use a water proof solution to stop water from ruining it?) Thanks in advance everyone.

Dave-
First, if you're going to be covering the deck with carpeting, I'd go with the marine plywood. It'll save you trouble down the road. Otherwise, green treated and then add a waterproofer.

Second, I personally haven't heard of a sheet of plywood any larger than 4x8. You'll probably have to buy two sheets and cut them to fit. As for price, check your local home improvement warehouse or lumber yard. They'd also be able to verify any sheets larger than 4x8.

Hope this helps.
