I know it's been pretty dry up in Northern Wisconsin and water levels are lower than normal. I am headed to the Manitowish Chain next week and see the water level is 7 inches below normal summer pool level. Anybody been there recently? I am wondering how it is to navigate b/n lakes - specifically from Fawn under the bridge up into Clear.

Unfortunately, not a good answer on this one since it has varied from lake to lake. Some lakes are way down; some not at all.
Regarding the Mani Chain, I was out there a week ago and it was fine. Was only down in a little bit. However, I didn't go from Fawn into Clear. That's a pretty skinny thoroughfare and with lower water levels it could be a challenge. Clear does have it's own landing though if you want to get on it.

Also keep in mind they will start draining that chain near the end of the month.
