Posts: 1 | I know this place is all about muskies, boats, gear, and good fish stories — just the way I like it. But with the weather bouncing all over the place lately, I’ve been stuck in the garage a lot more. Dug out some of my old RC planes A-10(https://www.dynamrc.com/products/a-10-thunderbolt-ii-v2-green-jet-dy8933gn), got 'em dusted off and back in the air. Nothing fancy — foam warbirds and 4-channel stuff — but it scratches the same itch: building, tweaking, and crashing in style ?? Curious if anyone else here flies or messes around with RC? Planes, drones, helicopters… all of it counts. Of course, once the water warms up, it's back to muskies full time. Just thought I'd toss this out there.

Posts: 130 Location: Roscoe IL | ive got a drone, but thats the extent of my RC aerial prowess, I use it for checking parts of our farm id rather not walk in prior to hunting season, including locating some mature buck beds in a large swamp, that has paid off in spades for me.

Posts: 1534 Location: Brighton CO. | There are so many cool things to do in this world and so many things just to maintain a house I don't know how I had time to work. and as we get older we have to pick our spots. Like a old car you have to watch how far you go but just as bad if you leave it in front of your house and don't drive it too it's just as bad.

Posts: 7074 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | So tempted for so long to get into RC planes....just something about the kayaks and boat and the cost of those that has me telling myself "DO NOT ACQUIRE MORE HOBBIES!!!"

Posts: 673 Location: Duluth | Lol, I just bought an RC model tugboat kit. Can't wait to build it when the day get short. They even make little working steam engines for some of these models, this could get bad.

When I lived in Fond du Lac, there was an airfield in the county that was used just for RC planes. My service club had a presentation from club members. Size of some planes was amazing. The local field hosted events for folks from multiple states. Given what I remember about some of those planes and controllers, it is one sport that makes musky fishing look quite reasonable from a fiscal standpoint. The guys were quite the mechanics and builders.
