Places like Crest Marine(crestwood, il), WaterWerks(TinleyPark,Il), Henry's(Chicago), and Basa Marine(Lockport,Il) would be places around Chicago I would try. I believe all are OMC dealers and may have some '03 stock on hand. Basa advertises, or at least to, that they have lots of new/old stock..I.E. one or two year old motors brand new. They told me they buy other shops old stock and sell to us(the consumer) at a cheaper price then we coulda got it brand new. I won't reccomend Basa for their service dept because of two problems I had with them but their sales dept. seems pretty good. If you buy a used motor from any dealer, make sure you get it tuned up completely before it leaves the store,at their cost if possible,and don't take their word it was just tuned up, check the plugs and whatever else you can... |
