Got several of these, and from time to time the reel fails to engage properly. Seems like it gets stuck halfway. Also sometimes difficult to push.

I've taken them apart, cleaned them, and oiled them, which seems to help for a while, but then it's back to the same thing long before the reel should need to be cleaned again.

Is there a spring or something that needs to be replaced?

If they are the silver Revo Toros, check the insides of the frame where the thumbar contacts the frame. The thumbar wears grooves in the frame and eventually will stick. The fix is to change the frame and keep the sides lubed.
