I am well aware this has nothing to do with muskies but this is a internet board so I might as well post it. There has been talk how people think this might of been the worst week as far as viruses are concerned ones with the biggest threats and the ones that spread the worst are hitting. Some of you might be familair with Blaster virus or might already have it.
Just by being online if you have XP or 2000 you can get it because its sent over ports. So you don't even have to open an email attachment.

If you want to protect your computer or "patch" it. In Internet Explorer go to Tools, Windows UPdate. Then go to the site and first run the update install all the Critical updates and driver updates if there are any. Don't worry about windows updates or the ones in the middle you'll see what I mean thats just about making media player and all programs like that look better. After you get doin that go ahead and get the patch for blaster it is also on the update site I believe if not, Microsoft.com.

It is important to stay on top of Security updates because hackers find holes in the windows software and microsoft release Updates so that they can fix the holes thats why It is important that you update. Thanks for readin sorry I just didn't want any you to be offline for a while. See ya

I had two of them on my laptop tonight. Had to get the patch, scrub the virus, and delete the files they created to do the denial of service thing. I had the firewall up on my XP system, so that one is OK.
