Found brand new Saltist 30 for $40,,it's set up saltwater style with a reel plate instead of the usual reel foot. saltwater guys like this better,,anybody have any experience,tips with this application.

Do you have pictures of this by chance? I know on my cat rods I use a clamp but the reel itself still has its foot. I could be mistaken, but I am curious to see what you mean if I am mistaken. Thanks!
