Headed out for a week any tips on current locations? Want to get in on the bite on the fast track.

We were there for a few days last weekend. Fished mostly Thames River, Stony Point and Belle Hump (Canadian side) in 12'-14' feet of water. Caught 2-4 fish each day, biggest was 47". Some casting but all our fish came on trolling double 10's. It as slow for us, not to mention kinda rough water, but I wonder if we should have been out deeper this time of the year? We did catch one fish on American side. Make sure you top off your fuel tank EVERY day and use extra caution out there. Not a bad idea to hire a guide for a day, they know their stuff. My 2 cents.
