Got my reel serviced. Runs better but the bearings are screeching on the cast. I am guessing they need to be oiled.
The repair guy I used is an hour away so does anyone know if I can easily access the bearings and do it myself without taking half the reel apart?
Thanks

one is under the spool knob.
one is in the palm side (not crank) sideplate. To remove, loosen the silver thumb screw that goes all the way through the reel and hold the screw out. There is a spring that holds the screw towards the threads. Rotate the palm side sideplate cw if right hand, ccw if left hand and remove. the spool should come out by pulling and the other bearing is on the other side of the spool shaft. Hopefully this helps.
