Posts: 252 | I was trolling a small creek this morning with a tuff shad in about 9 feet of water. Had made about 2 circuits up and down the creek and had just got back to the mouth and I thought that I would throw the tuff shad while I swung the boat around. I had only trolled a tuff shad and had never thrown one before, so, I thought to myself that I would get on the musky forum and ask if anyone had ever had any luck throwing a tuff shad lure. Sure enough, I threw that tuff shad up beside of a log hanging off in the creek and a musky nailed it after about 2 cranks. So anyway, now I guess I know. They work casting as well as trolling. Wound up catching and releasing two this morning.
