Posts: 19 | This past Sunday my large crank bait box was stolen out of my boat at a gas station at the I 70 and Indiana 59 exit, I looked at the box right before I went inside but did not check it when I came out, wow what a shock when I got to bass lake and found it missing. My big justencase box was still there so I had my casting lures to use for the day but was to bummed to enjoy the day, I had never fished bass lake before so I had no idea about the structure in the lake and would not have needed that box due to all the timber in there. We only raised one fish all day partly because how upset I was , bad way to start the season. Stopped at the station on the way back and was told the camera was not pointed in the area I parked,so no help there. I'm not wanting to get into a big discussion about right now it is what it is,if I could get central Indiana muskie fisherman to keep an eye out for someone tring to sell these baits that would be great. Most lures in the box were either early season st clair bait or late season for lotw, luckily my vintage lokes and the mx6 had moved out and started a new box. The short list is as follows- 5 smoker shads 5 10" nil masters 1 10"jointed slammer 4 waxwings 3 6.5 custom x 2 8"donato's 7 8"bucher 5 10" jakes 6 10"grandma 4 rapala super shads 3 8"wileys 4 8"kickin minnows 3 shallow invaders 4 5" tuff shad 4 8"ziggie's If you see these baits or the box for sale anywhere please let me know, thanks Mark Edited by Paschml 4/2/2014 9:58 PM Attachments ---------------- image.jpg (50KB - 189 downloads) image.jpg (50KB - 179 downloads) image.jpg (63KB - 192 downloads)

Posts: 1348 Location: Pewaukee, WI | I too am sorry for your loss. I hope the culprits experience some bad mojo for doing such a thing. Keep an eye open on E-bay. Chances are though that these guys are not fishermen, but rather someone who wants to turn a quick buck. Edited by bigbite 4/2/2014 10:50 PM

Posts: 1247 Location: On the Niagara River in Buffalo, NY | I sure know how you feel, I had 20 St.Croix Rods taken from my boat at a Walmart parking lot two years ago and still not a trace , most were New Legend Tournament Musky Rods with my name on them!

Posts: 1202 Location: Money, PA | Thats why my boat is always covered up unless I'm in it fishing! I have WAY too much value in there between electronics, baits, rods/reels, rod holders, etc.... Hope you get your stuff back! Edited by ShutUpNFish 4/3/2014 7:30 AM

Posts: 994 Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Check the pawn shops in the area. Most of the time stolen tackle boxes are kids and they try to unload for cash fast. We always have one guy stay with the rig if one has to go inside and then switch off. If I am alone I pay at the pump. I hope you get your tackle back.

Posts: 13688 Location: minocqua, wi. | not to disrespect the possibility your box was stolen but you'd be surprised how high a heavy box can jump when trailering a boat. i had a full sized plano box filled to capacity come from the bottom of a deep v boat to the deck and almost out of the boat while driving the 501. thankfully i saw it in the rearview mirror and was able to pull over and stow it. don't drive around with boxes in your boat and think they won't find their way out of it on their own.

Posts: 19 | It was under the leaning post of a center console strapped with a bungee cord and the playmate cooler was still in place. I filled out a police report Friday that way pawn shops will be looking for case # when items come in.
