I have a WishMaster lure that has maybe 2 hours of trolling on it. It has very minor hook marks on the bait. I bought it in 2005 I think and used it once in 2006 then had the brain storm to buy a store in northern WI so I was closer to good fishing.

This is one of the larger Shad body lures in a custom kind of shad style paint job. I drew on a napkin what I was looking for and Rolf accommodated my wish.

Does anybody have any idea what these are worth. I have the original certificate that Rolf would give with the lure and a letter I received from him when he shipped the lure. All is packed in a nice wooden box.

Someone told me it may be worth a couple thousand dollars, which seemed a little steep to me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Love to see a picture. I kick myself i never picked up one of his baits. Was on his mailing list for years, even had chances after he passed. Truly a man that was way ahead of his time. You know what you paid for the bait. Probably not so cazy today with trend of baits getting bigger in more ways than just size. Its a bait I consider a true collectors piece.

I watched one go for 1,235.00 on ebay over a year ago. That one was mint never fished. It was an 18 inch Big Wish. They were 290.00 new . I learned a ton from my talks with Rolf at the shows and emailing him. He was a pure craftsman. His torch applied etex coats is classic.

I have the original invoice, the certificate of authenticity and a letter from Rolf detailing the paint job. This was something new he was trying and it turned out remarkably well. It was not a stock color that he was painting at the time, but one we kind of drew up on a napkin.
This is a Big Wish. The bait body is 15” long, to the end of the bill it is 18”. Top to bottom of the back to belly at the tallest spot is about 3 1.4”. (I will be happy to girth it if someone wants to calculate the weight) The bait (and certificate) are numbered #16/100 for 2005. The bait has had maybe 2 hours of trolling time. It has sat in the box in the photo for about 7 years. We bought a store surrounded by great musky water and have very little time to fish!
Looking at the price of an unused bait at $1200, I am shooting for $600 on this one with very little use and all the original paperwork. My email is [email protected] if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Mark Gostisha
