As some of you that know me already know, my stepson is home on leave from the Air Force. He just finished a tour in Iraq, and is currently stationed in England. He has fished with me since he was a little guy, but I hadn't taken up muskies until the last few years. He was due to come home on leave a year ago, but it got canceled because of the London bombings. He was then shipped out for his tour not too long after that. We haven't seen him for 2.5 years, and all he could talk about was catching a musky when he got home. Needless to say I've been feeling the pressure, and would feel terrible if it didn't happen by the time he had to leave. Well about a week into it he has caught his very first musky, a beautiful 43.5" fish. He got her on a figure 8 at the boat with a Pacemaker. I have to say I was more nervous with that fish than I have with any of my own. I took a vacation this week so I could work on some musky fishing with him, and now I can truly say Mission Accomplished. BTW, he now has me beat by a half inch with his first one. LOL

I know you were working on it, and a Pacemaker did the trick. That is truly a special musky and good luck to Chuck catching many more throughout his life
