I am looking for a "good clean" 2nd boat .. I really dont need/want something brand brand new....

wanting one of the following...

90-94 tuffy bassin marauder
'96-2001 esox magnum tiller

prefer a simple color scheme.... white or grey with some kind of polyflake on the side . ...a honda would also be desirable but not the end all be all.

please email what you have/ price needs to ; [email protected]

thanks guys ! john

I think Tuffy1 has a slightly older marauder in very good condition, check the boat section of this site.

Go to www.muskiesinc.org and look at the used boats for sale page. There's a handful of them there.

drove from hartford to just shy of lacrosse yesterday to see/potentially buy a bassin marauder...

theres alot to be said for "high resoloution" digital cam pics and someone not desperate for a sale....

I asked this guy several times over a 2 week period about , soft floors/transom, gel coat chalking, etc....before making this drive

this was a real bad one... everything that coud be bad ,was....side tanks split away from the hull... tons of hull damage, soft transom... tires so dry rotted and cracked I was surprised he made it the 50 miles he drove...gel coat chalked up real bad....even the deck was soft in spots.

if I had the space in my yard, it would look good stuck in the ground and flowers planted in it... thats about all she was good for....

so if it pops up on ebay again or in any local papers out west.... its a blue/grey bassin marauder with 90 merc on it..... its an '84 not an '86 as the seller claims....project boat doesnt begn to scratch the surface, steer clear ...

I love the old tuffy paint schemes.... but a clean older boat seems to be a needle in a haystack... may end up just buying new... and using my esox ltd as my second boat..

the search goes on...

Bill shumways 2001 rampage tiller is a great boat that is for sale. Its the same as the magnum, it is just about 8" deeper and you can run it on bigger water. Bill has a 4stoke 70 on it.

I have fished out of bruce shumways magnum plenty of times and the boat is rock solid. I went on a trip with bruce and a couple other guys to a remote lake in canada. Bruce came back in 6' footers, we had to stay on shore while some 40-50 mile an hour winds past. The guys boat I was with sank at the dock, the magnum was fine.

It's been a long time since the Bass N' Marauder was built, but the Esox Magnum C with sideXside seating is the same layout. Any Magnum C can get that option built in.

thanks for the heads up "the nate", but no answer from this seller....
I like that old fawn split paint job on the '84's.

well.... still looking...

I have all but given up on finding a clean bassin marauder..

I would consider a clean mid 90s magnum C or T with same layout... just dont want a merc hanging on the transom.

come to think of it... I dont really need the console...I simply always liked the gray hull and flashy red decals and polyflake look of the bassin marauder...

consoles can and do get in the way.
my esox LTD is a tiller.

I definately want the wider transom the mag offers, a tiller is AOK.

" I'd prefer a white boat with the charcoal polyflake."

kind of losing this search battle and I may as well order a new magT and use my current esox as the good second one for the cottage

I just dont need something brand/brand new and were if I to go new, by the time I hang a honda on the back
I'd have way more into it than I could justify for the 5 months a year I get to use it.

john

John, Not sure what you're looking to spend but I have a 2003 mag with 60 hp suzuki on back that I was planning on getting rid of at the end of season. ( I hate the color (black with red on the side) and really like the new upgrades on the latest mags.) Also, been trying to talk my fishing buddy into selling his 96 mag and upgrading. Pretty sure its a 96 and I know its in great condition only thing is it has a 50 merc on the back. If that sound ok, I could get a hold of him and try to talk him into sellin.
