Posts: 18 | I am rebuilding a 1989 Marauder and cant decide if I want carpet or rubber flooring. I have no experience with rubber flooring and want to hear what your thoughts are and recommendations on a product. Plus any pics of the finished spray in would be cool.

Posts: 221 | I have carpet in my ranger that's about due for replacement and I'm not going to be putting carpet back in. I've been looking at some options, and I think I've settled on seadek. Tons of colors and patterns. They even sent me out a box with all the samples the have in it so I could check them out with my boat. I'm guessing it's not going to be the cheapest option, but the materials seem very sturdy.

Posts: 32 Location: MN | Bedliner would be rougher on feet/skin. Less Ideal for a recreational boat but I don't see a problem for a fishing boat. Less worries about spills/slime/etc.

Posts: 320 | WBM, Check out a product called Tuff Coat. I used it on my restoration & it's pretty easy to work with & it's really tough stuff. I fiber glassed over all my plywood then applied it. After applying the Tuff Coat, I wondered if I needed all the glass work. I know it would save a lot of time & money. You might be ok just tabbing in the deck & compartment tops to the sides of the boat then Tuff Coating over it. I cut some holes tonight for the kids pulls and the two coats of Tuff Coat was pretty thick and very tough. One thing nice about it is if it does wear, all you have to do is clean it up real good & apply another coat. I used two gallons for my boat & it was $90/ gal. It took less than 90 minutes to roll on each coat. Good luck..... TC

Posts: 18 | Todd, Did you use the primer that goes with it?

Posts: 320 | Yes. It really helped adhere it to the glassed over plywood.

Posts: 320 | You will need one kit which is two cans (part A & part B) per gallon of paint. I used two gallons of paint on my boat.

Posts: 221 | Tuff Coat is good stuff but doesn't feel great on the bare feet.

Location: Northern Wisconsin | I installed hydroturf (like sea deck) in my boat this year. I don't think I would ever go back to carpet.

Location: Northern Wisconsin | A 17' lowe roughneck. It is an aluminum jon so installation was easy. Just clean surface, cut, and glue.
