I have a few Cady Weagles and they are one of my favorite baits. Anyone still use them ? What are they worth on secondary market ? How many do you have ? I hope some of you guys can share some info on the Weagle and the subsurface Weagle ?? Thanks,

Certainly not an expert on the matter but a quick Google search shows me that they've sold for $35+ on this site but those appear to be unused lures.

I used them in the past, caught a lot of fish on them. BUT, the production runs weren't always...let's say they didn't exactly conform to ISO 9000 principles in the original iteration. Now that Suick has bought the rights, I'm throwing Suick weagles. Catching fish, the paint jobs are about 1000X more reliable and of the 5 or 6 I've had, none have had issues sinking.

But guys still clamor to pay a good deal more for the "cady" ones.

Cady weagles weigh more than Suick weagles.. you'll get a better 'swoosh' w a properly weighted Cady weagle than a suick weagle... do the fish care? no clue, but I do know my Cady weagles catch big ones..

Wasn't the company called Musky Nut aka Cady weagle? They still catch fish but as they said it's just another bait

Who doesn't like a top water that "goes down" on you once in a while?
To me they were just a slightly larger version of the orig wooden Viper when they came out so.. despite my love for hype and my well documented history of buying into hype, AND having been guilty of perpetuating hype in the past; if memory serves, i was resistant to the Cady Weagle-strain of hype.

I know the head has extra weight especially the ones with a white splash on top of the head. I think it does do a good job pushing water..

Cady Weagles are one thing, but anyone still using the red/white wrapped Musky Nut Weagle rod, built by Professional Edge?

My 8" Cady version is on display.
My 8" Suick version collects dust in a drawer somewhere.
My 10" Mojo version(s) get used...

Hmm, maybe I should start fishing my 8" Suick Weagles a lot more...

Thanks for the topic.

First time I learned about the power of the internet. What year was that? I met Steve at a show in the Medina Ballroom and started building them for him. Of course they were a limited supply!

I have a handful of originals that have never had hooks on them. Maybe they should get some playing time.
