| Just looking for some input on a good rod to pair it up with a Tranx 500 hg, throwing big rubber, and blades, is the big nasty the way to go? I have the 8'6 hvy priemer now for blades just looking to go 9',or bigger. Thx! |

Location: South-Central PA | The Nasty is a good rod for big rubber and blades, lots of guys go that route and it works well. My preference is for something with more tip power like the Big Dawg or Predator XH. The Premier XH is also a great choice for those baits. Any of the rods I've mentioned can be built as a custom and easily built to 9'-9'6".
You also owe it to yourself to give the TI XXH a shot. The 9'6" and 10' are great rods! I have several TI rods in my lineup right beside my Legends and Predators.

Location: Wisconsin | For an "off the shelf" rod, Big Nasty all the way. Just about perfect for big blades and at least up mag sized rubber. I don't throw pounders, so cannot comment on that. But for just about everything I throw, it works great. I have used other brands, but this is what I prefer. Not the cheapest option, but I think it's worth it in the long run. Tom

| X2 on the TI XXH. Love mine. Use it for anything from 3oz bucktails to pounders. The oversized full cork grips are better than anything I've ever held. |

Location: Southwest PA | X4 on TI XXH! That thing can pretty much throw anything. It also makes a great flathead rod if you fish from shore. Bomb cast 6oz. of leas with a 7inch bluegill no problem hehehe |

| I have a Chaos Tackle "Mike Hulbert Edition". It doesn't seem to be too popular, but I love it! 9' 6" telescopic and up 24 oz. After August, I usually only cast Mags or bigger. It throw pounders better than any rod I've ever tried, in my unprofessional opinion. I hate to sound like a salesman, but for under $200, best big rubber rod regardless of price. |

Location: Minnesota | The 500 HG is a great reel for rubber team it up with a great rod . I would go with a thorn bros predator X Heavy 9 foot 8 inch. This is my favorite big rubber set up. |

| I just received my first shipment of TI blanks a couple weeks ago and I am very impressed! The blank is very responsive, well constructed, and not a heavy tank. I am in the process of custom building a TI 9-6 XXH with syncork split grip handle for a client and I see a ton of upside to the TI blank.
I am most impressed with the telescoping blank. When the time comes for me to build my 2017 musky rods, there will be without question a 9-6 telescope XH in the line up.

| My cousin has the big nasty but a little light for really big stuff but it's an awesome rod. Big Dawg would be a good option and you can cast instead of lobbing the big stuff, Chao Shock & Awe seems to be very popular as well. I just picked up a new Lexa 400 I need a rod for it, not sure what I'm putting it on either. |

Toothtamer rods have a long history and great action. Rick from Chaos makes a great rod as well as his CustomX brand is a beast! And who can argue with SC for overall quality, durability and just plain a bad ass rod! I will have a SC Preditor someday, just not enough funds to buy one right now. I do own a Chaos rod and love it. Real nice rod. I have used but do not own a Toothtamer and was really happy with it the day I used it. Effortless rod to throw big rubber with. Don't think you are going to be disappointed with any of the brands and/or any of the customer service form any of these companies. Post some pics of what you boat this year!!!

Over the offseason i had a 10'6" XXH cut down by 3-4 inches so im excited to see what that did to it |

| predator XH 9ft6inch got one over winter Rod is just amazing....You can launch regular bulldawgs and swimmin dogs a country mile with just a flick of the Rod....Its really unbelievable a bulldawg can feel like your throwing any old average bait on any rod with pure ease....I couldnt figure out how ppl could cast pounders until I got my hands on this Rod...You can launch a Pounder with this thing and doesnt wear you out like you would think this no Brainer after fishing one of these rods...If you can afford to go this Route its Money well spent IMO |
