Posts: 752 | Purely from a nostalgia perspective I would love to see some of the orignal Teddy's bait. My first musky and was on a Teddy Bait tossed by a Berkely Cherrywood Rod with a 7000 Abu on it about a lifetime ago... I think 10 of the first 20 musky I caught were on them.

Posts: 84 | Believers....from a time when the bait's 2 attachment eyes were made out of flat wire with a rectangular cross section rather than ones which now have a circular cross section. Those jointed versions clacked tremendously and were super at 'wandering'.

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Peter Stoltman - 12/12/2012 12:47 AM FYI Russ Smith is now making the Topkicks again through an agreement with Dick Gries. Hey Pete, I thought he purchased the rights from late Bruce Schwengel (sp?) who purchased the bait company from Gries himself back in the 90s. I don't believe he had to get an agreement from Gries to do so. I know Russ had Gries sign all the Strikers for the Musky Hunter lure collection (maybe the topkicks too). I wonder if Russ will be making the Twin Topkicks as well?

Posts: 944 | Sidewinder is a wood twitch bait with a metal lip that Hi-Fin made for years. Very erratic. they stoped making them around 1994 for some reason. Everyone I know that had them caught alot of fish on them. Jeff Hanson madisonmuskyguide.com
