| Anyone familiar with this boat? I like it, but worry about the riveted hull..
Would prefer all welded, but wouldnt mind this if it holds up and doesnt leaK!
any thoughts would be appreciated.

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | I sold my 1983 Alumacraft last spring, still wasn't leaking.From my experience the welded hull we fish out of is an 05 and has had several cracks fixed already. IF I ever have to own a tin boat again I'd get another Alumacraft. |

Location: Bemidji, Lake Vermilion | Funny Dave. I just sold that exact boat earlier this summer, I had on 03 with a 70hp Johnson 4stk on it. Loved it. Never a single issue, boat was well pounded both on the water and the pavement (I frequently travel over 2hrs 1way on some of the worst blacktop in the lower 48 lol). Depending on year, condition, rigging/motor and of course price you probably can't go wrong. Same thing as Shaley said, if I had to scale back and go tin again I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. |

| As previous tin boat owner (Lund) I'll vouch for a good riveted hull all day long. And as a guy who knows two guys with XXXXXXX brand of boat with welded hulls, I can vouch that each of them has had nothing but trouble with their boats in the form of cracks. The welded hull pitch is just that IMO, a pitch. I'm not saying that all welded hulls are bad. I'm just saying that I'd prefer riveted. |

| And if after years of useage, the boat starts leaking it wont be more water then a mild rain will bring in.
Nothing youre bilge can,t handel anyway.

Location: West Bend, WI | You'll love the boat, they are wonderful to fish out of. I've never had an issue with my alumacraft. Tough boats. Just make sure it is not underpowered. |

| It will be the best boat you will ever own. I am on my 4th season and LOVE mine. Zero problems,excellent QC. Max out the HP and get a roller trailer. You can launch that boat in a pond by yourself or cruise in two footers without getting wet. |

| great boat. have an old lund pro v myself but fish out of a navigator quite a bit. no problem with the rivets on my old boat. my next boat will be a navigator. 165 is nice and wide, deep and rides like a bigger boat in my opinion. |

| my buddy bought a 06 alumacraft navigator 164 with a 60HP, tiller for $10k earlier this year. one year newer, 30 more HP. ??? |

| hmm, that is a big difference.. It is cherry though, and with little use..
I have to see it in person, and i may pull the trigger on it.. Boat looks practically brand new in the pics..

| Get the 55LB trolling motor or better yet a 70LB 24 volt unit.Anything smaller than 55LB is to small in a good chop. You can get a great deal on entry level GPS/Depth finder this time of year. Once you use one you will never go without it.A on board charger is a must,get the three bank one.That should take care of your fishing needs for 10-12 years. 13Gs sounds like a steal if the motor is a 2007.Get a test ride and open her up,a 90 should hit 40-42mph with two "normal sized guys".Good Luck. |

| I had a 95 Alumacraft Competitor which I bought new and that I sold two years ago. Never leaked. The navigator is a very nice boat and you will really like it. You will worry far more about keeping gas in the tank because you will love being in it than any leaking. They can take a pounding. No worries. |

| Get a 70 pd or higher thrust TM. Done the 55 lb. on similar boat - sold it and bought an 80 lb. |

| Has a 70 on it all ready. wish it was a power drive though.
gonna check it out, and if its as good as it looks, will be bringing it home with me!!
