I am going to try making some baits with super sized eyes. I think it helps. What are your thoughts?

I like those eyes guys. Those big one's get your attention. I just really think that those help a bit. Just a feeling I have no proof.

Semi related with walleyes. We were fishing a hump and marking a ton of fish. Could not get them to bite. I broke off a jig and reached in my box to grab another. I had some old jigs that had some very big eyes in the same color. I put it on and started to get fish on after another. Friend put one on also and did the same. Was it the eyes or just feeding time. Who knows.

If you feel the fish like lures jigs or what ever whith bigger eyes I'd go with it. They do say having confidense in a lure
is a good part to being successful in using them

I buy the clear custom eyes from New Jersey Tackle then paint the gold behind the eye. I also shoot the backs of the eyes
with a clear coat in hopes the paint won't run off while there in the water. So far So good.

Not sure If this helps, but I been using Acrylic round crystals which come in many sizes. The ones posted are 12mm. I just paint or color with permanet marker the tops and it reflects through to the bottom. looks awesome, and you get like 50 of them for $2.00
