Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | Our group of 12 did very well. We got a 35", 35.5", 36", my son caught a 39", 40" hybrid, and I got a 45.5". It was a great time with great friends, with the extra bonus of my son finally joining us again. It don't get any better! There was also a 25.5" walleye caught that was released. How did the rest of you do? Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 5/29/2006 9:26 PM

Posts: 1438 | Steve- Fished with Mark H, Sluggo and Sluggo Jr. I moved about 8 or so on Saturday but only had one 30" in the boat. Lost one and had one whif a topwater too. The rest were real skittish follows that flared off any time they got anywhere near the boat. Sunday I got a 20" walleye on a twitch bait (mmmmmm, walleye good) but never saw a 'ski. Off the water around noon and headed home about 2:30. Scott

Location: Athens, Ohio | I fished with Mauser yesterday on the Gauley River in West Va. and caught my first West BG Virginia muskie! A 34 incher broke a 12 month dry spell for me, I hope catching muskie does not become an annual event for me, now! Looking forward to hooking quite a few more next week in Wisconsin. Mauser moved one right to the boat and had one dancing under a tree overhang for a moment, we think. Water temps at 66* in a beautiful green pool of water. whoo-hoo! m And, where are my manners this morning? The fish I got hit a bucktail I bought from A-Roz from an ad he ran in Musky Hunter's swap board. Awesome, Alex, thanks so very much! m Edited by mikie 5/30/2006 7:30 AM

| You guys are lucky to be fishing Muskies already. The season doesn't open here until THIS Saturday. My brother and I did get some Bass fishing in on Sunday morning, but had to quit around 10am as it was getting quite warm. It actually hit 100 degrees that afternoon. As for the fishing, we nailed em'. My brother caught 24 and I caught 13, and we had around 20 over 16 inches long. Two were over 18 inches long. Those are nice Largemouth in MN where the growing season is short. Now to get my Muskie gear in order......... | |||

Posts: 427 Location: Wausau | The Three Lakes Chain was a zoo...pontoon's everywhere! Saturday started out hot - my first choice was a NE shallow rock field along side a channel and on the second cast of the day my shallow reg. dawg gets hammered. A good fight, but sadly it was a pike...but 30+ inches (5:40 a.m.) I didn't see another fish until 8:20 -when I was fishing another N shallow rock point surrounded by deep water. I worked the area for about 40 minutes b/c I was marking a ton of bait fish. I decided to make one more past and as I bounced my depth-raider of the rocks -wham and fat 39" was in the net. After 8:20 - no more action...and I fished everything from 1-2' muck-weeds, mid lake rock humps, steep drops, current, timber, sand - nothing moving. Water temps started at 64.7 and were at 73 by 4:00...crazy. Saturday again the action was in the a.m. as I lost a fish and boated a fish (36") all in the same weedy bay - spring dawg. After 8:40 - no more action. Sunday was way too sunny...caught one baby that didn't even need the net and I was off the water by 2:00. | Hit the mercer area, fished 5 lakes seen musky on 4 of them, got a little one and a few pike. I was told at rollie and helens the water temps have rose almost 20 degrees in a week. Anything that was agressive came on sinnerbaits and bucktails cranked very fast. Follows were lazy on gliders. Seen 75 degree water by monday, not liking the summer outlook at all.

Posts: 3242 Location: Racine, Wi | Got to fish with Lardonastick and Trevor on Friday night. They were the ones that won this trip in the Mason auction. We fished Okauchee looking for a big girl and Mike's first of the year. Well, 5 minutes after moon rise, Mike scored this healthy fish. Great work Mike, and good meeting you. Posts: 3518 Location: north central wisconsin | Wife and I had Emma out here for her first boat rides the past couple days. The little dome tent with the shock absorbing wire base that keeps the sun out of her eyes, is the coolest thing my wife has ever purchased(wish they made one like that in adult size). Emma has gotten to be involved with her first three muskies including the 44.5" that mommy got just after putting the boat in and baby down. She was so thrilled, with the kid giggling when she heard mom giggle. Thanks to Keith Eldrup for the awesome customs!!!

Posts: 327 | Mike and I got out saturday , had a fish blow up on a top-raider on the 1st cast ... raised a fatty about a half an hour later but she didn't want to eat . We both managed to lose a couple fish , can't seem to catch a break sometimes !! Oh yeah , also managed to forget the sun-block at home ( the stuff I had in the boat leaked and ticked me off so out it goes !!! ) and burn the s*&%@ out of the tops of my feet , I won't be doing that again !!! Still a great day to be out !!

| fishing near Minocqua/Rhinelander i got a 30" muskie on a TNT Triglide and a 19.5" bass on a Weagle. i love muskies, but gotta say i liked getting that nice bass even more. the lake i was on had ZERO other boats on it Saturday morning after driving past a couple popular lakes with 10-15 trailers at their landings...gotta love hard-to-get-to lakes. Knick the dog was impressed with the new Tuffy, even if he doesn't look like it...he had lots of room to sprawl out! Posts: 222 Location: Hartland, WI | We had a VERY good weekend in Vilas. Many fish caught. I just want to share one of them with you...this is my good friend Matt Billigs fish. He is a very big guy nearly 275lbs...i wont say how big but she was over 46". Can you say Weagle? I was about a 100 yards from them when i took these pics. Looks like my old Lund still has some mojo in it.
