Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The show opened at noon today, with good crowds showing up during the evening. The Muskie Lure Demo tank was very popular, seminars were full, and the crowd intent on buying. The show opens tomorrow at 9AM. Stop in the booth and buy a Weagle from Muskie Mojo, or say hi to Slamr, Nikki, or Sue! Thanks goes out to Gander Mountain Guide for a great job on the show handouts, thanks again, sir. Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Day two was a total success, with great crowds and snow from an East wind off Lake Michigan. Te seminar room was packed, the aisles crowded, and the show overall allot of fun! Not to many Weagles left, either. MuskieFIRST hats were out the door a $12, and went fast! Slamr and Crash Mg ran the booth while I wandered the boats and the isles. New photos are in the Milwaukee Show Album, see the link in the post above!! Appears to have been a gooder one Stever, and I must say you look quite "sophisticated" w/ yer hair combed and semi beard neatly trimmed! Recognized Slamr...what happened to Shep/Landyr/Krappie and some of the original peeps? Travis too looks a FRACTION older and wiser; just don't let him invest yer last 2 quarters in a trinket machine. Looking ferd to MuskyHopeful's take on the weekend...

Posts: 4266 | My daughter's hockey team took it on the chin Friday evening when the goalie blocked a shot that popped up in the air and landed on her back and found it's way in to the net. Disappointing end to the season, but that left dad a few hours to hang out at the show for a few hours on Saturday.......before The Frozen Tundra game......and I'm glad that I went. It was good to see my buddies again and to shoot the breeze for a while. Met some new guys and saw some interesting stuff. Wish I could have hung out longer, but the time that I was there was quality time, talking to Captain Koeppe, Bill Schwartz, Slamr and Nikki, my fellow old fart Sworrall, Zach, Jonesi, Todd M and more. 2 hours of standing around and hanging around is about all I can handle anyway. I'm going to have to start carrying my own folding chair so I can cop a squat. Good to see you guys and meet some new folks. Beav

Posts: 355 Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | The show was great! Glad to see Steve Worral as always and a pleasure to meet Steve Jonesi. Props to Joe Fitantae for the beautiful job my my crappie. I wish Mr. Worral would have posted a photo of that rather than the two photos of my ugly face. Wow, I think I need some work!

Posts: 20219 Location: oswego, il | 8inchcrank, holy crap, I saw that crappie and you could catch it on most musky baits! I had alot of fun hanging out with the muskiefirst peeps and the swap was fun too. Closed down the bar again, go figure. One really cool thing I noticed about the show was I have never seen so many women at a musky show as I did saturday. Lets hope that is an upward trend.

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sunday was very busy until the last seminar was over. Joe and Pete packed them in! There was a 'mishap' in the tank, and our esteemed Muskie Shop retailer of the Year (Smokey's?) and Roberts Outdoors' Spokeperson ended up needing rescue, which deteriorated into a Big Kahuna Wave of attempts....See the video here soon. Posts: 355 Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | I did catch it on a musky bait...black and orange Rizzotail quite a few years ago. I took a cast off the boat dock waiting for my Grandfather and whamo, one point for ole lady luck. Just pulled the photo out of the archives. Joe Fittantae did a wonderful job on the mount as always and it makes being at home more enjoyable. Now I need to win another $100 gift certificate so I can have him do my largemouth. It was also great to see Rick Lax was so kind as to put my vision of a musky mount that hung from the sky into reality. In speaking to him it looks like I'll have one for my store which I am excited for. I'd love to get a repro of my golden musky from last fall but it sounds like I better buy something golden but much smaller first. -Justin Gaiche=

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Here's a good story: This young gentleman was on his way to the show with his Mom, and said, " Mom, I need a new net!" Well, he attended a seminar at the Show, and unknown to him or anyone else the show manager and had attached a tag to the bottom of JUST one chair in the seminar hall. When it was announced a new Frabill net was the prize for the person who had that tag affixed to the chair they were in, his was the ONE! He was VERY happy!
