| First, I want to apologize to anyone who may have been a bit irritated last night during the chat when my daughter,Ally, went a little nutty on the keyboard.She was going to read me a story(she's in Cedar Rapids), but due to her pending bedtime, I told her to get on the chat and watch.She misses her Daddy terribly.She was difficult to understand on the phone after the chat due to the sobbing.She will be 11 next month.She has a real tough time on occassion, due in part to several "conditions".The fine folks at the Mayo Clinic have helped a bunch but we're in management phase now.Her favorite therapy?Fishin' with Dad.Now that she knows how to get on the site, I'd expect we'll be seeing her more often.We need more kids involved, yours and mine.Take the time and make it count.They're depending on US. I say bring her on. If she's been fishing with you, I could probably learn something from her. At least on this site you pretty much know what she's looking at. My 8 1/2 year old is starting to love the internet, and I shudder at the thought of what's available or what she could stumble across.

| Personally, I got a kick out of it. She was just havin fun.
Good advice too brother. Everybody should take a kid fishing at least once this coming season. If not your own, you can surely find one.
Last year I started my 12 year old cousin down the muskie fishing road. Not many people I would rather share a boat with these days. He just loves being out there and doesnt have any expectations. Just like me. It's all about the fun.
And he likes makin' Weagles too!!

Location: Waconia, MN | My daughter is only 6, but she loves the water and being out there. I've got a rod/reel set up waiting for her this year! She loves top water, in fact she has a few lures with out hooks as bath tub toys...lol I'm in trouble!

Kids are the future of our sport, and if we don't get them involved, who will? I missed the chat last night, so I don't know what happened, but in my opinion no matter what it was, if it gets one kid involved it's worth it.
Guys, I know I've got no right to even MENTION this, but lets try to remember that there ARE kids using these forums. I know I post a lot of stuff that kids shouldn't be reading, and I kinda swear a lot, but seriously -- that sort of stuff? IF there's kids around, that needs to stop. |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | There are kids on this site, and I hope over time as we have more members, a good portion of those are kids. Last night was just an example that even if you dont know it, there are kids and young adults on this site.
Swearing and inappropriate inferences will not be tolerated on this site. If you feel the need to do so, find another place for that. This site is for everyone, young and old. We can all learn, help each other, and grow as a community, but the aforementioned will not be contained within the information flow of MuskieFIRST. |

I still remember taking my nephew out on his 1st musky trip 2 years ago. He was one of the lucky few that got his 1st legal, and a tiger to boot within the 1st half hour of fishing.

and thinks im looking at porno she gets pretty pissed and i am pretty pissed at the moderators of the website.
im done with that website for a while now.

At first I didn't realize who it was then put 2 and 2 together.
I was actually sitting at the keyboard laughing at the end. Wife even wondered what I was up to.
Enjoy them as much as you can, when you can. My youngest turned 16 this week. They grow up waaaay too fast.
When I make it up this year, bring her along too.

There are alot of young minds that look at this site and as the older more mature individuals that we are some thought needs to be giving before you press that "submit" button. An wise old football coach told me "lead by example". We can have fun on this site but know that the information you pass on is influencing ALL those that read it.
Steve, I really got a say enjoy the attention now because in a short while you'll be handing over the car keys and it's all over after that.
