Mauser and I decided to Celebrate Earth Day by Fishing Ohio. Here's a mid-thirties he got as thanks for enduring on-and-off rain showers all day. Water was in the low-60's, this came on an Undertaker in 4 feet of water. We found slow jerk baits worked best, we raised half a dozen fish Friday on mud flats thanks to changing weather. His second Ohio fish and his second this year, I think. m

Even a blind hog finds a acorn once in a while. 2 for the year and counting, now if I can just break 40".
First was a 32 1/2" tiger from Stephens Lake in late March, but they're gittin' bigger.

Is it safe to say that Mauser's style of fish handling, could now be classified as " The Banjo Hold"?

Dude, you guys are riding Mauser like a rented mule (keep it up!). As far as Wisconsin and points farther north, we've got two chances right now - slim and none. Prices of gas, mounting bill piles from my surgery (I've got great health insurance - until I had to use it), and good lakes closer to home are contributing factors. Not ready to rule out anything, though. Just hope the weather allows home waters to be fishable this year.

Who knows, Muskies Inc. may be ready to pay Mauser a hefty conslutant fee for rights to the Banjo Hold! m

Sounds like a BAD case of sour grapes for those poor souls from up north, hee, hee. Must still have a case of " hard water" up there, or maybe it's just that they need to learn the " South W.Va. Banjo Hold". It's good to know that I have such good friends. I'll be willing to give leasons on this little known method of posing for pictures but first , I'll need a few things..... like more fish!!!

Thanks fellows, I can take it...........I think

Keep a tight line

Hey Mauser,
Looking good pal, you been working out?

I was thinking we could try to line you up for Queer Eye for the Hillbilly Guy.

Nice to see someone out on the water!

Papa Joe,

I guess you'll be the "star" of the show, but instead of money I could be payed off in musky lures, guided musky trips. I tour the country giving Free leasons in the now famous" South W.Va. Banjo Hold" . Just get me on the water, I'm ready!!! I can see it now, Hollywood, New York City and ...... Lake Of The Woods, the 'Goon, then I'll hit the big time Eagle lake!!! My name will be up there with the greats, Doug Johnson, Dick Pearson, Steve Worrell......................SpongeBob!!!! Ah, the price of fame.

Take care
