Location: Brighton CO. | There are only few on the market in a true Muskie size, Windel's "Muskie Chugger" and Legend "Big Eye" Not the lure to cover water but good lures as a pitch back or if you have one spotted. |

| At the Wausau Musky show, there was a booth where two sisters were selling musky sized poppers, carved from wood and in a little wood box. Really nicely done. Unfortunately, did not see until I had slightly exceeded my self imposed spending limit for the day. The lures are truly hand made and each is a work of art/craftmanship. |

| Fudally ( Reef Hawgs ) used to make some real nice chuggers. Not sure it he still does. They would sure make a commotion on the water . |

Location: NW WI | Got a 3 pack of Saltwaters awhile back. A metallic Cisco,a firetiger, a black purple. Sold 2 and kept the black purple, thrown it from dusk into the night maybe 5 outings with no luck. I can't possibly believe they won't work, but my confidence is beginning to fade I'll admit. |

| That's the one I was talking about. I would rip it hard and make as much noise with it as I could and let it float back and sit ; then repeat. They would always hit on the pause. many would launch out of the water like a missile from a submarine. So cool to see. |

Location: Bloomington, MN | I've tried the X-Rap Magnum, but for Lake Trout. It's a 7" glide bait that is meant for speed. The bait looks really sweet, but it is not a traditional glider. It likes to ride high, but has a good roll. It is small enough to make it do crazy darts. Long lining on a 3.5- 5 mph troll would possibly be the best if pumping the rod. I caught only a couple of Lake Trout casting, and they were 5-10 lbs. We got 20 over 20 lbs, 5 of which were over 30 lbs. in about 55-70 feet of water snap jigging tubes/bucktail jigs while trolling. I caught my largest, a 37 lber. on a Huskie-Devle. 2 pounds better than last year! I'm heading to Muskie lakes in Ontario, Cliff, Cedar, and Edwards that are known for numbers. I'm going to seriously see how it works with treble hooks vs. singles. I was a using medium heavy rod, and could cast it all day. I can cast and work a 10" Suick all day, but big rubber baits kill my shoulder and arm. I will advise! I gave the guide the ones with pinched down barbs.

Yeah, it appears to be a mutated Rebel Pop-R.. I'm thinking about putting a dressed treble on the rear, and see how loud the "sploop" is..

| I'm a big fan of Chug Norris... beyond the awesome name it flat out catches fish... just change out the hooks. Moves a ton of water...

In what scenarios are you reaching for your popper?. How are you working it? |

| Typically I am displacing a ton of water ripping it like you would salt water fishing. It has more subtle uses but I have other baits that do those jobs better but if you want to make a ruckus its a great bait... |

Might be where I've been going wrong. How are you going about pauses in-between POPS? And have u played around with any kind of trailer so there's something dancing on a pause if you are pausing? |
