| I'm running a 80lb terrova. 24v system am I the only one that can't get more than a full day out of them 18ft jet boat? I used cabelas agms for a few years no good. Than went out an bought die hard platinum batteries spent a lot of money on them an I'm barely getting a full day fighting moderate wind. Is there some other issue I'm over looking? Batteries are on charger till full than unplugged. Any input thanks |

| Have you checked to see if anything is binding it up, like maybe some fishing line wound up behind the prop? I can go several days in moderate winds with a couple of Cabelas group 30 AGMs. |

| What setting is your throttle on? And have you checked voltage at the battery with a meeter(could the charger not really getting them all the way full/ is your charger old technology that doesn't have a cleaning phase)?? Now technicalities aside what I would look into is the wiring to the bow, you really should have 6ga wire. It's possible you have 8-10ga. Will make beat the whole length and waste energy. Next is your hardwire or plugs. Make sure that there is no loose strands crossing paths, and no corrosion in there or on the blades of either plug male or female |

Location: MN | What size batteries are you running? If you need more capacity, consider moving up in battery size, from 24 or 27s to group 29 or 31s |

| Usually only run at 5 or 6 power. It's a minnkota 2 bank charger that came with the boat.an the battery size is 29s. Not positive on the wire thickness was planning on putting thicker stuff on. It's a short distance to the trolling motor where the batters sit a foot max an the charger sits inside with the batteries. Corrosion isn't an issue. |

| Check your voltage to make sure you're running 24 volts first. It sounds like you're only getting juice from one battery. Have you noticed one is staying charged when you do plug them in? |

| Make sure you check the inline fuses from the charger to the batteries. I had the same problem once turned out it was a fuse |

| These batteries are only for the trolling motor. When there drained they both charge yellow indicator than both green when full what I have noticed if I leave them unplug for a day or so an plug them back in an check the onboard charger one battery reads full while the other is yellow than after 10 or so minutes turns green as well. These batteries were just bought in 2014 |

| You either have A. bad battery B. bad charger terminal (you could try flipping them and checking voltage after you charge) C. Not connected to TM correctly D. Fuse or wire issue |

| Checked all terminals all fine an tight. Charger fuses can't really check them. Unplugged the charger for 10min to check voltage have 26.8 dc. I know it's best to let them sit 24hrs so that's what I'm planning on doing an rechecking tomorrow night. I just don't get why I'm struggling on a river after 6hrs. Only a 18ft jet with 3 guys fishing an gear. |

| Is your boat glass or aluminum? I don't think it's that odd that you're running out of juice in a day running your motor on 5 or 6 if you have a glass boat loaded with 3 guys. 6 hours seems short, but all the guys I know that run 24V systems on 18' or bigger glass boats end up running low on juice at the end of a long day in either wind or current. If being underpowered is the problem, there are two solutions: 1) put a 36V system in, or 2) install one of the chargers that charge your TM batteries off the main motor |

Location: Contrarian Island | 6 hrs on 6 on a river in current with 29s is probably about right... I'd get 31 size, and get AGMs again, personally have had much better luck w those... Blains Farm n fleet Duration agm 31s are solid... |

I had no idea this was a thing. Would it actually give you a decent charge? I'd assume you'd have to be making pretty good runs to make that worthwhile. |

As mentioned, a DC alternator charger may help if you make runs intermittently.
