Posts: 46 Location: Plymouth, MN | Very slow day on Calhoun. Only managed a couple follows, pike were active though so we didn't get completely skunked. From what I've heard only 2 were boated on Calhoun, not sure on size

| Fished Harriet out in the open 30-70ft water. Saw five follows and had one get off. A 48" and 50" on Waconia won | |||

Posts: 572 Location: Maplewood, MN | Waconia, Indy, and Eagle were the top 3 lakes I believe. Out of 381 people participating, only 13 fish were caught I believe. First place doubled up trolling. Moved a lot of fish today, just couldn't get them to eat.

| Fished Tonka today. Wanted to hit up tourney but could only go till 11. Not a fish seen. First time out so I was blind out there, but I thought I would see something. Eagle was packed at 5:30 today, live by it and checked launch on way out today.... | |||

| Didn't hear the results but if Eagle placed again..... Wow that little puddle sure pumps out fish. Wonder how many times some of those fish have been caught, a 50 probably 20 plus times, IMO.... | |||

| Talked with Paul yesterday . 9 fish over 40" for 381 contestants. The winner was 15 year old Matthew Finn. He caught a 49" and a a 50" . Joe | |||

| Patrick and Finn win the thing again! I would love to hear more about the trolling pattern they employ on Waconia. I can't remember if they use a deep open water pattern or a short line speed pattern in the shallows. If I remember it's one of them driving and the other actively tending the lines in a shallow water speed approach. | |||

Posts: 61 Location: Anoka | Eagle was a zoo there had to be 20 guys muskie fishing out there we didnt have a sigle follow but we watched a 17 year old kid catch his first muskie a beautiful 48" 20 yards in front of us it was sweet to watch and see the excitment I had to give a friendly reminder to get her back into the water they had her out a bit long but expected when it was his first but all was good she swam off just fine. So based on what im hearing that fish was top 3 im guessing for the tournament

| For only a $35 entry, that has to be the best Tournament. Over $15,000 in prizes. I think 15 week-long resort stays plus over $4000 cash plus lots of tackle. Cool that the unwon resort stays were drawn to people who showed up at Gander. Not many tourneys where you can get free trip without catching a fish!!!!!!!!! Guest | |||
