Posts: 569 Location: Williamstown, WV | Hey guys we had a young trooper get shot during a traffic stop and is on life support. he is also a musky fisherman who has many nice fish under his belt. His partner was killed during the traffic stop and eric (trp. workman) was gravely injured. A sheriffs deputy was shot 3 times but will survive, and the suspect was killed during a brief firefight in the woods. Here is the link and thank you for your prayers, it means a lot to wv state troopers, family, and friends of Trooper ERic Workman. http://dailymail.com/News/statenews/201208290284

Location: Eastern Ontario | Terribly sad story prayers for all involved. It is hard to understand if I read the story right how an armed man could be put in the back of the cruiser.

Posts: 255 Location: MadCity Wisconsin | My thoughts and prayers go out to these true hero's: Trooper Workman, and Cpl. Bailey, may they rest in peace. May their family and friends be comforted. In Law Enforcement you simply do not know who you are dealing with, sometimes until it is too late, its the sad nature of the profession. Thank God we have those who protect and serve us regardless of the dangers. Edited by Steve Reinstra 9/1/2012 6:43 PM

Posts: 81 | Please remember the families affected, I live in Clay County WV......Tooper Bailey was a great member of the community and an example of what a law enforcement officer should be, he was fair, firm, and a family man. His young son is on my sons flag football team. Trooper Workman was a 26 year old young man, he was a student of mine at Clay County high school who was an out of this world athlete, and very quiet and humble young man. He loved all outdoor activities, but he was a serious fisherman, he loved to chase big musky. They will be missed and their families will need your prayer from this day forward, we will never undstand such a tragic event, but if we have a personal relationship with God......he will explain it to us in enterinity!!!! Please remember their families and our small rural community please, God Bless Edited by hilltop 9/5/2012 6:32 AM
