Shoot Daniel an email. They will want you to send back a section of the rod with the model # on it, and 15 or 20$ for return shipping.

None of my personal Okuma rods have ever broke but I think for any warranty issues you have to ship it back to Okuma.

Okuma Rod Warranty USA
Okuma Fishing Tackle 2310 E. Locust Court, Ontario, California 91761 (909)-923-2828

Never heard anything bad about their warranty service either.

I just snapped my 8'6" XXH on a big fish in MN when it dove under the boat. Broke about a foot or so from the tip, rod broke and sliced the line. Suffix 832. Talk about a heart breaker. Wanted to warranty and sell it but thinking about getting the 9'3" XH now that I have my TI rod. Okuma does have great customer service for sure, just too bad the rod broke.

I had an excellent experience with them replacing a rod at a discount, when they didn't have to.

I've dealt with Okuma's customer service (also on broken rod issues) and found them to be excellent. Very prompt, reasonable and responsive. Just call the service number listed on their website and they will take care of you.

They are going to warranty it. Had to cut out the model number section of the rod and mail that to them with a check for the return postage. Was hoping I would be able to exchange it locally. Great people to deal with. no issues.

Should not happen while fishing, might be the rod, but could also have been a crack in the blank from trowing the rod around in the boat etc.

Dont think it broke due to boat rash. I don't just drop it when im done and grab anoter setup. I take care of my equipment cause I cant afford to go buy new stuff all the time. Im glad they are going to replace the rod and I will definately by another in the future because of the great customer service. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you!!

Great to hear their customer service is excellent.

I just started using Okumas last year and I think they are outstanding. I've caught several big fish the past 2 years up to 50 1/2 inches on figure 8's and have had no issues.

I hope I don't jinx myself, but I'm very impressed with Okuma.

Had a 7'4" with a broken guide after first trip. Called the company, shipped the broken eyelet segment of the rad to save on shipping and they sent a new one. 3 years later still in great shape. Thank you Okuma.
